about martick
Martick Jewellery was launched in 1988 with a collection of silver cufflinks.
The designs
were commercially successful and went into many prestigious London stockists.
The company
has always been fashion driven and produced new collections twice a year for seasonal
appeal.
In the early days these were usually sterling silver, and all made in house at the
Hatton Garden premises.
Womens collections followed and were promoted by the World Gold
Council.
A brief flirtation with gold jewellery followed but eventually Martick decided
on
silver as the best medium for their high end fashion designs.
Branching out in 2001, exotic
materials such as dichroic glass were added to the range to innovate,
then following a visit
to the Tucson gem show in 2003, Venetian glass was incorporated into necklaces.
This has
proved to be the most popular line so far,
winning 'highly commended' in the Gift of the
Year awards two years running.
The captivating colours, fascinating history and high quality
of these lovely components
has led to many stories and enchanting pieces.

2007
*
New lines for 2007 include gorgeous Bohemian glass from the Czech Republic.
We have sourced
beautiful hand made glass hearts which have a curious 'molten' texture on the surface.
The
look is vintage, reminiscent of louche lounge wear and cocktails.
